About Me
Boniae / Sev
Introductions and about pages are always the worst! This is not a portfolio page though, so I'll be as casual as possible.
I'm an artist with two different dayjobs right now--a library clerk (almost going 10 years now) and a print shop associate. When it comes to my art, I'm primarily a comic artist and visual novel developer. It's hard for me to choose between my love of both, but I would say because of how demanding comics are, I tend to do comic work the most.

A majority of my storytelling work is romance, specifically queer romance. However I really like to push myself and try new genres when I do get the mood for it. In the next season of my life I'm trying my hand at children's stories, which are really quite challenging.
My first ever project was called "Forget-Me-Not" which I started in 2010 and released in 2014. It's kind of a melodramtic slice of life BL story about two teenagers who develop a relationship over the course of time. Afterwards, I started working on my comic called Four Corners for fun in April 2014, and have been working on it ever since.

I've been using the username "Boniae" for quite some years for my art stuff (maybe since 2012) it has no meaning and was just something I picked at random using a name generator back in the day. While trying to sell my work and my brand as an artist during adulthood, however, I realized how inconvenient this name is. It's difficult to pronounce (I usually say it as "Bone-E-aye", but there's no real way to pronounce it, actually. It's made up, after all.) So these days in person I've been gradually trying to get more comfortable using my real name. I'll always have a sentimental love for this username though, and it feels a little like an alter-ego where I can truly be myself.

▲ If you'd like to see more artwork, I do have a portfolio which can you view here.

It's better to have created something than to never have created at all.
